Last blog post of 2021. Last day of the year, I can't think of a better date to recap everything I have been taught so far in the masters. I must put it out there, not everything that I've learned is strictly academic. I believe that living is a learning process, and every different experience provides us with a new skill to tackle everyday issues. However, I will be focusing on the content and objectives of the most remarkable subjects.

From the most theoretical subjects, I must say I don't remember much so far, especially when what we are taught belongs more to Law school. Don't get me wrong, I get we should know the education bill we will be teaching under, but I just don't think that I could ever be interested in that. It isn't something that sparks my curiosity, which makes me think of all the kids whose cup of tea is not English. Attending such a boring class (in my opinion) was just a reminder of what I do not want my students to feel when coming into class, so it helped me make out what to avoid in the future. Therefore, I consider that this is one of the classes which helped me the most in my teaching discovery.

Moving on to another of the most material-loaded subjects, I must mention Aprendizaje. I will say without a doubt that it was in this class where I felt the most knowledge impregnating my brain. For real, I left each class feeling like I had been told a secret that would help me enormously in my teaching career. The lectures were intense but the content was so interesting that I couldn't stop paying attention regardless of how tired I was. I wouldn't say this is how I would teach because English is a very practice-led subject, but if I had a theoretical-based subject to teach, I would feel proud if I was half as captivating as our teacher was.

Along the line of dense subjects, I must mention Didácticas. Honestly, this is one of the most helpful subjects that I have attended in this first term. I am glad that we are presented with a variety of teaching methods from which we can choose. In addition to that, we are always encouraged to twist them into making them ours, improving ourselves and helping the students. Had it not been for this subject, I wouldn't know if I was making any mistakes or how to improve them, so, truly, this is a How-to-teach must.

Just as it has been mentioned in class plenty of times, Didácticas and ICTs overlap much of the time, especially by the end of the year. However, I feel like the second one provides a more modern or innovative component to the first one. Regardless of the content, what I feel that will stay with me from this subject later in life are the skills that we have acquired. I don't believe that the content itself was exclusive from this class, as I have said, but being able to set up a web page, an online portfolio and developing an online writing style thanks to writing a blog really amazes me. Back in September, I wouldn't even dare to think of creating a web page, and now seeing this Wix as a whole fills me up with pride. I don't care if other people's blogs are better than this one, but this is the only one that's mine. I can't explain it, but I feel like this type of project has elevated my self-efficacy level. I'm not a pro but at least I'm not scared to try. In my opinion, guiding us at the beginning and then providing helpful feedback was quite helpful and crucial for us to keep our motivation up, thanks Maik.

Well, I'm starting to get a little too cheesy now so I'm going to stop here. Thank you so much for reading this and I wish you a splendid and peaceful 2022. Cheers!
